So the search giant is teaming program artists to develop a new distinctive line of cases for a few Nexus and Samsung smartphones. Google on Wednesday announced the 1st installment on the line, called "Editions," made by the DJ Skrillex.
Skrillex is just the 1st guest collaboration for the distinctive line of cases. Each edition will be created by a different well-known artist.
How will the events be different from any other case? The cases will get connected to your phone and automatically update the wallpaper on your own screen. During the day, the wallpaper can have pictures of earth as depicted from satellites Google launched to the stratosphere for your project. At night, it can have constellations which might be visible in which you and your phone are standing. Skrillex himself launched the satellite into space, and named it after his dog Nanou. The case has a button that can lead to content from Skrillex, like early use of an album from his record label.
Google isn't the primary tech giant in order to tap into art and accessories. Apple's buying of Beats Electronics gave it the gangster rap icon Dr. Dre as well as the company's trendy headphones business.
The cases sell for $40 on Google's website, obtainable for Google's Nexus 5 and 6, and Samsung's Galaxy S5, S6 and Note 4.
